Limit the number of people the invitees can register via an invitation

You can limit how many people invitees can register via an invitation sent from EasySignup. When you make the restriction, only invitees will be able to register for your event by following the link in their invitation. That way you can control who can register with how many tickets.

Limit the number of people the invitee can register via the invitation
You can limit the number people the invitee can register, when creating an invitation in EasySignup . With a limit of more than person, the invitees will be able to register the people over several rounds, but in total they can only order the quantity specified by you.

  • Start by clicking on the envelope next to the event in the overview of your events:

  • You can also click on "Invite attendees" on the event status page:

  • In step 1, write an internal name for the invitation (1).
  • Then select "Yes" to "Limit the number of people the invitee can register via the invitation" (2), after which you must choose how many people an invitee can register (3). You can also select any secrets tickets, the invitation should grant access to (4).
  • The maximum quantity of people you can limit is 30 if you want to collect information about all attendees, and 1000, if you only want to collect information about the orderer.
  • Notice: The attendees will only be able to register for the event via the mail merge registration link, which is prefilled in step 3, so please keep this in the invitation:

  • When the invitees click on the link in their invitation, it will say how many people they can order. If they order over several rounds, the number will change so that it matches the remaining number of people.

If the invitee has already registered with the number of tickets the invitation is limited to, it will say: "You are not able to register more people".

If you do not want the invitee to be able to edit their name and e-mail when registrering, you can "lock" the attendee information from the invitation.

  • Edit the event and go to "Registration". Scroll down to "Attendee information" and find the headline "Locked if from invitation". Then tick the information, you do not want the attendee to be able to edit. Save changes at the bottom right.
  • People visiting the registration page without coming from a link in an invitation, will not be able to register. Instead, they will see the text: "To register, you must use the link from your invitation":

You can change the text on the registration page for non-invited.

  • Start by editing the event.

  • Then go to the tab "Visibility" and find the setting for "Only allow registration through invitations":

  • At the right, you can specify the text, you would like to have displayed on the registration page. Save at the bottom right.

  • The text on the registration page for non-invited will then be changed.
