How to create a secret ticket type, e.g. special price

You can create secret ticket types once you have created your event. These can be used to offer special prices to members or partners, and the secret tickets types are only available via unique links.

  • Access the list of events by clicking Events->List events.
  • You create secret tickets on the page, where you edit an event. Click on the edit-icon to edit the event.
  • Find the section ”Overview of ticket types” under the tab "Tickets" and click ”Add ticket type”.
  • Enter description, quantity and price and choose if the ticket is subject to VAT. Select "Secret" under Status.

  • Note: If you have more than one ticket type you will get an extra filed with "Maximum numbers of attendees". The event will be sold out once this number is reached, regardless of how the attendees are distributed. If you still have the same number of total seats as before you added a new ticket type, you do not need to do anythings else. However, if you have more seats total than before, you can change the "Maximum numbers of attendees".

  • Click "Save and stay on the page" when you are done.
  • You now see a link-icon at the secret ticket type.
  • Click on the icon to access the registration page, where the secret ticket types are available. Copy the link and send it to people, whom you want to offer the special price. The secret ticket types are only available via this link.

  • Note: Once you have followed the link to the secret ticket, your browser will cache it. Therefore, you may experience that you can still see the secret ticket, when you follow the general link to the registration page. However, as long as the ticket status is set to "Secret" you can be sure that it is only visible to those, who have received the link to it. You can test this by pasting the general registration link to another browser vindow or into an incognito or private vindow.
  • Note: People who receive the link can forward it to others, who were not originally intended as recipients.
