How to insert hyperlink to websites or files in the event description

You can insert hyperlinks to websites or files in the description of your event. You can either do this on Step 1 when creating an event or on the page, where you edit an event under the tab "Basic".

  • Select the piece of text that should be clickable and open the web page or file when you click on it. Click the "Insert" button and select "Link" in the toolbar.
  • If you want to link to a website, insert the link in "URL" and click "Save".

    If you want to link to a file, you must first upload it. To do this, click on the folder icon on the right side of the box

  • Click "Upload" in the top right-hand corner. Then drag and drop the files you wish to upload or click "Add files" and find the files on your computer.
  • Click "Start upload" if upload doesn't start automatically. When the file is uploaded, click "Return to files list".
  • Now select the file you've just uploaded by clicking on it.
  • The "URL" field is now filled in with a URL for the file. Finally click on the "Save" button.
  • Click "Save and stay on the page" to save and continue editing or "Save changes" to save and return to the list of events. Both buttons are located at the buttom right hand side.
  • The hyperlink is now inserted in the event description and links to the website or file.

NOTE: The procedure can also be used if you want to link to a website or a file in the registration confirmation that the participant receives by e-mail.
